New Art: "Legs"

New! 🐙🎨

This piece was done in watercolor & ink, and is named "Legs." (I was randomly humming the ZZ Top song while painting this, it was about an hour before I caught myself.) Scroll below to see the photos of my creative process for this girl - from inked freehand sketch, to the splashy watercolor background, to lightly shading my subject, to (top photo) finally coloring and texturing the octopus with a fine point water brush. I find octopi incredibly interesting and very fun to draw/paint. I've been lucky enough to freedive with a few and watch their antics, and witness that intelligence behind those eyes. 🎨Prints:

For now, prints of my 2018 works are not available in my automated online shops, but if you'd like one feel free to Contact Me. I have note card boxes ready ($27 for ten cards, shipping and handling included), and I may or may not make a giclée print run of this piece, depending on demand.
